Controlling and Reporting Officer

Purpose of the position:

The Controlling and Reporting Officer is managing, overseeing and holding the end responsibility for the controlling & reporting activities. S/he will support company’s management in taking business decisions through the integration and analysis of financial and non-financial information. This function reports to Rossmann Romania CFO and will work with Romcarton’s Finance Director and Deputy Finance Director.

What you will do:

Play an active and significant role in the development and optimization of the business and ensure the effective and accurate operations of the Finance & Accounting functions.
Prepare and analyze all operating results, prepare annual budgets and manage forecasts for monthly reports.
Perform investment analyses and provide recommendation for new investments.
Manage change in the way finance function operates, supporting its move to being a business driver with a focus on cost optimization, control and reduction, profit management and optimization.
Make sure management and Finance&Accounting teams are fully, timely and adequately informed of the financial performance of the Company, in line with the format and structure of the reporting parents/shareholders company.
Implement financial audit and control mechanisms on a continuous basis to monitor the performance of the business, its flow of funds, the adherence to the budget, the expenditures, the income the cost of sales as well as other budget matters.
Play a key role in implementing a new accounting/ERP software.
Maintain rigorous financial controls. Ensure that all reporting standards are met or exceeded. Look for opportunities to enhance and improve existing reporting tools and methodologies.
Offer full support to operational departments, supervise the accuracy and timely performance measurement system of the operational departments.
Assist CFO in order to ensure the consolidated treasury policies of Rossmann Romania including working capital and operational cycle optimisation.
Make sure accounting and reporting is prepared in accordance with applicable legislation while ensuring management reporting meets internal company procedures and policies.
Assume responsibility in managing ad hoc projects from a financial perspective.

What we are looking for:

Bachelor degree, with 3 to 5 years relevant experience in reporting and bussines controlling, preferably in a production environment.
Good understanding of efficiency and client satisfaction measurement indicators (BPIs, KPIs).
Experience with ERP/ accounting software implementation. Knows how to translate business requirements towards IT for further enhancement and optimization.
Very good operating skills in Excel and any ERP/accounting software.
Great sense of accuracy, an eye for details without loosing sight of the broader picture.
Excellent organizational & analytical skills. True people manager & motivator. Effective decision-maker who stands by the decisions took.
Excellent communication and presentation skills to both peers and (senior) management. Can work in close relationship with other functions in the company (production, logistics, sales, marketing, etc.).
Good English language skills (written and spoken).
